One person killed, 4 wounded in Buinaksk blast

A powerful blast on Friday evening in Buinaksk, Dagestan, left one policeman killed and four wounded. The attack occurred on Tsiolkovsky street as law enforcement officers were performing their rounds.

An improvised explosive device had been planted behind a fence near the roadway, with an estimated capacity of around 2kg of TNT.
Dagestan’s law enforcement forces did not rule out the blast was retaliation for a recent successful to wipe out militants in Untsukulsk district of the republic.
