BBC will not ban song scandalously boosted by Thatcher's death

The BBC announced Friday it will not be banning the Wizard of Oz song "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" from its pop chart show aired Sunday.
In a compromise decision announced by director general Tony Hall, the entire song will not be played, but a brief clip will be granted airtime.
Scandalously, sales of the tune, penned over 70 years ago, skyrocketed in the wake Margaret Thatcher’s death.
A Facebook campaign is urging people to buy the track to celebrate the former prime minister's death in a display of negative attitude towards the “Iron Lady’s” political legacy.
