At least six people injured in powerful earthquake in Japan

At least six people were injured in the 6.0 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Japan. This was reported by local media. Tremors were felt in 27 of the 47 prefectures of the state, including the third largest city, Osaka.
The earthquake caused disruptions in rail transport.
Kansai International Airport was temporarily closed, but has since reopened.
NPP operating companies have rushed to report the tremors did not result in damage to their nuclear reactors.
According to the National Meteorological Agency of Japan, there is no tsunami threat.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the vicinity of the Awaji Island in the Inland Sea of Japan, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
In early 1995, the region was shaken by a devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake that claimed 6,400 lives.
