Levon Ter-Petrosian: "Why Tsarukyan not join opposition?"

Today, during the Founding Conference of "Armenian National Congress" Levon Ter-Petrosyan, referring to the cooperation between ANC- PAP, said:

"We are told - "How can you work with "Prosperous Armenia"? Yes, all of them - part of the system. But what's wrong, if we manage to tear a piece of it? No other way. In 2008, businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan was the representative of the big bourgeoisie, but he realized and in 2008 openly joined the opposition. He received nothing in return, on the contrary, he received blow after blow. Sukiasyan was in a similar situation because he was alone, and a different situation would have been if there were a lot of oligarchs."

Today, according to Ter-Petrosyan, leader of the PAP, oligarch Gagik Tsarukyan has chosen the same path. "He can not completely get away, but the fact that he came out of the coalition, did not support Serzh Sargsyan during the elections, did not participate in the inauguration and contributes to the fight against this evil," Ter-Petrosyan said.

He did not rule out that the incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, being "vindictive person," will not forgive Tsarukyan's independence.

According to Ter-Petrosyan, it is possible, that in the upcoming City Council elections PAP will be severely hit, the party will not gain the proper amount of votes, as an independent activity of Tsarukyan can become contagious.
