Standardization of migration in Armenia

The fact that Armenia has registered an unprecedented growth of migration, probably is not a secret. This is evidenced by the published data for January-February moths by General Administration of Civil Aviation of Armenia.

The published data relate only to the migration of the airways, many Armenian citizens choose land route, every day numerous buses leave Armenia with citizens of Armenia.

Almost all the opposition forces speak about the persistent increase in the rate of migration in Armenia. Migration as a major issue, is reflected also in the President's speech at the inauguration ceremony on April 9. "In the next five years a high priority is of our state and nation is considered economic progress. In this plane there is a package of problems of Armenia. Highlight three main ones- emigration, unemployment, poverty. The solution to these problems is also in the plane. Effective and economic recovery - a formula for success."

According to the General Administration of Civil Aviation of Armenia, in January-March of 2013 172,376 people left the Republic of Armenia on the airways. Last year during the same period, 172,580 citizens left Armenia.

The number of passengers taking off from "Zvartnots" airport for the first three months of 2013 amounted to 165 275, and 164,880 people in 2012.

The number of passengers taking off from "Shirak" airport for the first three months of 2013 amounted to 7101, and 7,700 people in 2012.

The number of people who arrived in Armenia for the same period compared to the same period last year increased. In 2012 143,998 people arrived in Armenia and 145,508 citizens in 2012.
