Japan invents unique electric car
World
Japan has started selling unique electric motor cars in the shape of an ordinary sofa.
The novelty called UNIMO works off a lithium-ion battery sufficient for 5 hours of driving. The car is capable of developing a speed of 6km an hour and can cover a distance of 20km. It has a chain track instead of wheels, which allows climbing low steps and keeping balance on slopes.
The electric car is mostly meant for disabled people and its performance exceeds power wheelchairs common in Japan.
