Moscow to open high-speed rail services to Sochi, Yekaterinburg

The Russian Railroads company has announced plans to launch high-speed rail services to Sochi and Yekaterinburg by 2017. The trains will be ‘Lastochkas’ and ‘Sapsans’.
According to the company’s CEO Vladimir Yakunin, foreign companies will upgrade 385 marshaling engines for Russian Railroads. The contracts for this were signed at the Hanover Fair.
