Syrian rebels have attacked a Lebanese border region

Two people were killed and nine injured in the city of Al-Qasr near Lebanese border. The Syrian forces and the armed opposition are waging fierce fighting near Syria’s border regions using armoured vehicles and artillery.

Meanwhile, the government forces have captured an important frontier at the approaches to the city of Al-Kussair where rebels are actively fighting.

The government forces have captured the village of Abil, strategic location on the southwestern outskirts of Homs.
