Partner waited for girl victim ‘in her 20s’ at Boston marathon finish line (video)

A woman in her twenties is reported to be one of the three casualties who died in Monday’s Boston marathon blast, Life News reports. Her husband was allegedly waiting for her at the finish line when the first explosion erupted.

Devine_3186 wrote on her Twitter: “There was a girl who ran the marathon & her boyfriend was at the finish line waiting to propose to her, but she died. I’m in tears”

Three people were killed and more than 140 others were injured after two bombs exploded during the Boston Marathon on Monday, the Boston Police Department said. A boy aged eight is among the dead.

Among the injured 17 people are in critical condition and 25 in serious condition. At least eight of the injured are children - including two-year-old boy with a head injury. At least ten people have had limbs amputated.

Hospitals reporting they were removing ball bearings from victims - suggesting the bombs were designed to propel shrapnel.
FBI officially classified bombings as terrorist attack and warned police to be on the lookout for a 'darker-skinned or black male' with a possible foreign accent in connection with the attack.
