Nerses Nazaryan's dismissal- part of Police reform

RA police issued a statement dismissing press reports on a financial pyramid set up and managed by some high-ranking police officials. The police dismissed those rumors and requested to submit facts, if any.

As to the dismissal of the head of police of Yerevan Nersik Nazaryan, the Police states that it is part of the police reform and HR policy.

The statement holds that the Police is against interweaving of service and business, the so-called coalescence with some layers of the society, which is inevitable when one occupies the same position for a lasting period and has a negative influence on service, as well as law enforcement.

In this case, the Police statement holds, the performance of the Police of Yerevan was dropping, which is unacceptable. The Police is committed to its mission and describes everything else as “groundless and meaningless talks”.
