Raffi's "New Armenia."

Today, ob April 19 at a conference "Heritage" party leader Raffi Hovhannisyan said:

“We have had ups and downs. We have fallen, but we have not knelt down. April 9 events showed that there are no sincere actions in Armenia’s politics because they may result in disaster. We made sure that each step must be thought out well. This must be the basis for our further activities."

"There are numerous methods to struggle against the ruling regime: from the legitimate demands of the people and up to the protest actions.

“The government must realize that they either need to serve the people or to leave the country,” Raffi Hovannisian mentioned.

Addressing his supporters during the citizens’ forum, Raffi Hovhannisian noted that victory can be achieved only through consolidation.

“It is time for the political forces and civil society pull together and show that they are next to the people. It is necessary to create unions in all the cities and villages of Armenia and in the Diaspora, to lead a joint struggle against the ruling regime peacefully, he said.

In the end of the meeting Hovannisian promised to present a draft declaration of further actions in the fight against the government.

Head of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary faction Armen Rustamyan was also present at the conference.
