Germany’s flagship air carrier Lufthansa has canceled more than 650 flights due to a strike by the company’s personnel called for Monday, April 22.
The walkout is expected to affect virtually all of the country’s air hubs, including Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf and Berlin.
The Ver.di airline service union, the organizer of Monday’s strike, demands a 5.2 percent wage hike for its 33,000 members.
