Special police squad to maintain public order in municipal elections

Pursuant to an order by Chief of Armenia’s Police Vladimir Gasparyan, a special police will maintain public order during the elections to Yerevan’s Council of Elders on May 5.

Armenia’s police calls on all the political forces to inform relevant authorities of their actions in advance.

Police propose cooperation to the political forces with a view to ensuring free and fair elections, stressing the importance of cooperation with Armenia’s mass media.
