Brahimi says sorry for failing to broker Syria peace

The UN and Arab League envoy for Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, has apologized for failing to end the bloody conflict in Syria, which has been going on since 2011, TASS reported.

A statement to this effect was made by him during last week’s closed-door meeting by the UN Security Council in New York.
