"First, we should and must honor the victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915, but the sense of the present covenant is to live", today during a briefing with reporters in the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial the vice-Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov said.
"The point of today's covenant is to live. Though in 1915 Ottoman criminals destroyed almost the whole nation, but after that this nation was reborn and created an independent Armenia.
At the same time, today is testament to the fact that all progressive humanity should realize that this is also his pain, his shame, that such crimes are not punished, and there are countries that still deny the fact of the Armenian Genocide."
