American actor Ben Affleck takes challenge to live on $1.50 a day

A group of American celebrities, with movie star Ben Affleck among them, have agreed to live on $1.50 a day from April 29 till May 3 in an effort to raise people’s awareness about poverty in the world.
The challenge Ben Affleck has committed to take has been issued by the Global Poverty Project and is named the 2013 Live Below the Line.
The action intends to draw the global community’s attention to the 1.4 billion people who face extreme poverty. The Global Poverty Project also expects to raise funds to support anti-poverty efforts taken by partner organizations.
