Tevan Poghosyan: "Although blows from four sides, Raffi will unite all."
Political
Reporter of Lurer.com asked a few questions about the events following the presidential elections in the country MP from "Heritage" faction Tevan Poghosyan. In particular, reference was made to elections of Yerevan Council of Elders, Raffi Hovannisian's new stage of struggle, "New Armenia" movement, reappointment of Prime Minister, reference was als made to the achievements and the gaps in our civil society.
-Mr. Pogosyan, "Heritage" is preparing for the elections of Yerevan Council of Elders. What do you think how competitive you consider your party's list: What will this election give to "Heritage" and whether it does not push to background Raffi Hovannisian's fight?
-"Hello Yerevan" alliance is going to Yerevan Municipal elections with people, who honest and willing to change something. If there is someone who doubts Armen Martirosyan's and dedication, I say he is mistaken. If there is someone who doubts Anahit Bakhshyan's consistent or Mesrop Movsisyan's fighting spirit, I say he is mistaken. This is only about the human qualities. "Hello Yerevan" alliance is a team, a strong political unit that can win, can change, can stand back and create a new atmosphere for everyone.
You ask me, whether it does not push to background Raffi Hovannisian's struggle. Raffi fights for a new Armenia.
- Your Leader announced about "New Armenia" movement. Do you consider it realistic and what will be Raffi Hovhannisyan's next step?
-"New Armenia" is a movement for all, and it will become a reality by everyone. Do not believe its reality means to enter the pessimism of marsh. I think it is not only realistic, but I do not see any alternative to it. I think, though blows from four sides, Raffi will unite all for the purpose of combining the forces of his steps. Or rather, I'm sure of it.
- The Prime Minister reappointed. What do you think whether the Prime Minister is able to solve social and economic problems of our country's, whether the Premier is independent?
- Yes, the Prime Minister reappointed, despite expectations both in the political field and in society. Whether he works independently, to tell the truth, I do not know, and I do not even consider it important. His actions are more importanate in the past 5 years, the results of which were insufficient, it was estimated in the same way by the majority of our society, and I think no one is in doubt.
-Do you think there is civil society in our country, and what certain gains and gaps do we have in this aspect?
-Civil society has its progress in a fast pace, but we're still in the process of so-called "excitement" phase. It is necessary to strengthen the legal and institutional framework, so that it becomes irreversible. We need major legislative regulations, which have already been developed. I hope that soon there will be tangible results.
