Ban Ki-Moon calls for chemical weapons inspections Syria
Աշխարհ
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon again urged the Syrian government to allow inspectors into the country to inspect for chemical weapons against U.S. claims that such weapons were used.
On Thursday, the White House sent a letter to the U.S. Congress, which states that, according to U.S. intelligence Syria may have used such weapons "in small numbers".
In late March, the UN Secretary General on the request of the Syrian authorities decided to investigate reports of the use of chemical weapons by militants near Aleppo.
Immediately after that, the United Kingdom and France organized a group of experts to investigate reports of the use of chemical weapons by the authorities in Homs in December last year.
Official Damascus did not agree to these terms and did not allow UN experts to enter the country.
