More than 30 people were killed and at least 10 injured when a bus collided with a truck Friday in southern Afghanistan, an official said, DPA reports.
"A bus carrying passengers from Herat province to Kabul hit a truck towing a trailer at 5 am (0030 GMT) in Maiwand district," said Javid Faisal, the governor's spokesman for Kandahar province.
"Our initial reports say that more than 30 passengers including women and children have died and more than 10 others were injured," Faisal told dpa.
"It is not clear yet why the accident took place," he said.
