1913 Liberty Head fetches $3mln
USA
A 1913 Liberty Head nickel came under the hammer at an auction in Chicago for $3 million, BBC reports.
The nickel is one of the best-known rarities in American numismatics. Only five examples of it are known to exist.
It was produced in extremely limited quantities unauthorized by the United States Mint.
The coin was found among the debris of a car crash more than 50 years ago.
