“We have numerous state-sponsored and privately-owned dance groups in Yerevan. They participate in international contests and festivals and often bring prizes to Armenia,” Margaryan said.
“Given the distinguished cultural traditions of our 2794-year-old city, the Yerevan Municipality has always contributed to the development of Yerevan’s cultural life,” Margaryan said.
In his turn, Alkis Raftis thanked Mayor Margaryan for a warm reception. The high-level organization of Yerevan events on the occasion of International Dance Day is evidence of Yerevan’s distinguished cultural traditions.
He stated his willingness to do his best for the international dance convention to be held in Yerevan next year.
