Lenin’s mausoleum restored
Russia
The restoration of Lenin’s mausoleum in Red Square, which started in December 2012, has now been finished. The restoration was needed because a stone slab in the mausoleum’s foundation has lurched. Now, workers have managed to fix the slab.
Besides, the highlighting of the mausoleum was restored according to its initial variant, and the roads to the mausoleum were paved with granite.
No works inside the mausoleum have been made, and Lenin’s body remained inside it within all this time.
It is expected that the mausoleum will be opened for visitors from May 15.
