A massive explosion went off Tuesday at a laboratory in the University of Nanking, one of the country’s oldest universities in eastern China’s Jiangsu province.
Two people have reportedly been wounded, while three other are believed to be trapped under the debris.
The blast wave tore down the laboratory and shattered windows in the buildings nearby, Xinhua says.
A search-and-rescue operation is under way, police reports. An investigation has been launched into the cause of the explosion.
