Pique: "Next year some decision will have to be made"

Gerard Pique, as so happened in the first leg, showed face at the end of the match after an overwhelming defeat: "The truth is that the final 45 minutes have been very hard".

"When a team is so superior like Bayern has been, the only thing left is to congratulate them. We came up short. Now, to prepare for the league and finish it as soon as possible. The next year some decision will have to be made", he said.

"That Messi didn't play, it's clear that it is not the same, but still we went out with the intention of overcoming in the knockout. The absence of Leo has not influenced the spirit", he commented.

That their biggest rival isn't playing the final either didn't lessen the pain: "For us the pain is the same if Real Madrid wins or loses".
