The National Assembly of Armenia has passed the amendments to the Family Code in the second and final reading, providing for the equalization of the age requirement for marriage for men and women.
According to the bill, the same minimum age of 18 years is set for marriage. Under the previous version of the Family Code, the minimum age for marriage was 17 years for women and 18 years for men.
