Ramos walking wounded

The Champions League semi-final against Borussia Dortmund took its toll on Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid's vice-captain. A muscle injury means the Andalusian joins full-back duo Marcelo and Álvaro Arbeloa, both of whom are out of the upcoming league meeting with Real Valladolid, in the 'Los Blancos' treatment room.
Ramos has yet to return to training as Real Madrid looks to move on from its European disappointment. One man who has is Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who took part in a wind-down session at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium, although he is continuing to struggle with a muscle injury of his own, in his left leg. Ronaldo played through the pain against Dortmund.
The Real Madrid squad is now regrouping after being given a day off to lick its wounds following its latest European letdown. This is the third straight year it has been within inches of reaching the Champions League final, this time around being knocked out by Borussia Dortmund after a 2-0 win at home was insufficient to make up the three-goal deficit from the first leg.
