Iker Casillas made it clear that he intends to stay at Real Madrid "come what may. As for the coach's future, you'll have to ask him about that".

"My future lies at Real Madrid because I am under contract, I've been at the club since I was nine years old, this is my boyhood club and it's where I want to be", he continued, Marca reported.

As for the honour he received, Casillas stated: "It's an individual accolade. As for the team, there's nothing else left to say. Now we have to put it behind us, try to get as many points as possible in the league and give our all in the 'Copa del Rey' final. It's going to be a bit different, because it's at the Bernabéu, but it'll be a great experience. We want to win it for our fans, who deserve something to cheer about".
