The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, has pointed out in Brussels the need for national reconciliation in Syria.
According to her, political dialogue is the only solution for ending the violence.
Ashton said that all of us should continue providing support and aid for the political process involving both parties to the Syrian conflict.
The armed conflict between the government in Damascus and the opposition has been raging in Syria since March 2011.
Up to 70,000 are believed to have died in hostilities over the period.
The Syrian government claims that they are facing the well-armed and trained militants who keep arriving from abroad.
