Greek Orthodox Church marks Good Friday

Hundreds of Athenians joined a Good Friday (May 3) procession of the Epitaph, the symbolic tomb of Christ, led by Archbishop Ieronymos as part of Greek Orthodox Easter celebrations.
The Friday of Holy Week, traditionally called Good Friday, is a day of mourning in Christianity. It commemorates the execution of Jesus by crucifixion.
