RA Police set up coordination group for elections of Yerevan Council of Elders

According to the command of the Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia a coordinating group has been formed in the Police of the Republic of Armenia to establish public order during the elections of Yerevan Council of Aldermen to take place on May 5, to ensure the natural election process. The multi-directional net “1-02,” as well as (010)54-69-12 and (010)54-69-14 phone numbers operate. The Police of the Republic of Armenia inform Armenpress about this.

One can also report on violations recorded during the elections to the member of the coordinating group, Colonel of Police Valery Osipyan at the phone number 093-20-00-90.

The Police urge the pre-electoral headquarters to report any violations using the given numbers or apply to the policemen in service, ensuring that no alarm call will remain unanswered; any violation of law will receive proper reaction.

The Police appreciate cooperation with mass media and expects their support, too.

The Police expect and request the support of all political powers, NGOs, mass media and law abiding citizens in maintaining order during the elections.
