The Upper Lars checkpoint will be blocked in the coming 5-6 days.
Emergency Case
The heavy weather conditions on the Russian-Georgian border will leave the Upper Lars checkpoint blocked in the coming couple of days.
Tigran Balayan, a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, informed that the traffic jam on the border causes most vehicles to return.
He said that around 300 Armenian citizens reported to be stuck on the checkpoint two days ago had made attempts to cross the Russian border.
Citing official reports from Georgia, the Ministry of Transport and Communication said on its website earlier today that the checkpoint will not be trafficable for 5-6 days.
The Ministry warns drivers to avoid traveling across the border in the above period.
