Turkish court forgets delivering verdict on one defendant in Hrant Dink murder trial.

On January 17, the 14th Court for High Crimes of Istambul, in its verdict, has “forgotten” about one of the suspects Cosun Igci.
The court holds the hearing of the murder case of the editor of the newspaper “Agos” Hrant Dink, who was assassinated by the Turkish nationalists on January 19, 2007, Turkish News Agency “Cihan” reported.
Though names of 19 suspects were included in the verdict, released by the court yesterday, anyway, the names of 18 were mentioned in it, and the name of Coskun Igci was absent. The court has made an additional statement, according to which they had “forgotten” to include in the list the name of this suspect, and, as for this issue, they will make an additional announcement.
During the 25th hearing of the case Yasin Hayal, who had given the order to kill Dink, was sentenced to life imprisonment. Another major suspect Erhan Tuncel was not found guilty. Instead, the latter was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months for bombing McDonald’s restaurant in Trabzon. Other suspects Ahmed Iskender was sentenced to 12 years and 10 months, Ersin Yolcu – 12 years, Salii Hacesalioglu – 2 months and 15 days, while the remaining 13 suspects received no punishment.
