Stepan Safaryan: "What happened yesterday can not be called elections."

Yesterday, on May 5, at 08:00 am, local time, the elections of Council of Elders started in the Armenian capital, which ended promptly at 20:00 pm local time. The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), the "Rule of Law" (RL), "Prosperous Armenia" Party (PAP), Armenian National Congress (ANC), "Arakelutyun" Party ("Mission"), ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" (ARF-D), and the union of parties- "Hello, Yerevan" ("Barev, Yerevan") participated in the elections. 816,000 475 people had right to vote.
The Secretary of "Heritage" party, candidate of Council of Elders from "Hello, Yerevan" alliance Stepan Safarian, commenting on the process of the elections, called that the latter was not election, but counting of acquired votes.
"These votes were acquired by fake registrations, these voices were acquired in the course of buying and selling, as a result of administrative coercion and uncontrolled voting. Consequently, it was not an election. Elections are held when voter is free to express hiswi ll in a free relaxed atmosphere, without any deceit, coercion and obstruction."
Asked by Lurer.com, what the next steps of "Hello, Yerevan" alliance are, whether it is possible that they will appeal to the Constitutional Court, Stepan Safarian said that he could not speak on behalf of "Hello, Yerevan" bloc because today the discussion of the results of the elections is only planned. "At the moment I can not answer that question."
