ARF Supreme Body: "Happened, what happened."-
Political
ARF Supreme Body issued a statement on the municipal elections held in Yerevan, which is presented below:
The party says that it joined the electoral process in an effort to change the moral-psychological atmosphere in the country and inspire confidence and hope in the population.
“We attempted to justify the importance of eliminating the ruling party’s political monopoly and proposed an effective governance program.
We led our campaign with belief and sincerity in an attempt to offer the Yerevan residents a program-based ideological choice.
But we have what we have. The identification of the state with the ruling party yet another time, the boundless use of the administrative resource and the widespread election bribes met their target.
The government monopoly toughened still more. They now have a chance to be the sole leader of the country and [capital] Yerevan. We’ll be waiting for the results, though they are predictable to us,” reads the statement.
