Bravo! Economy Minister became interested in "Star" supermarket

"Star" supermarket chain has long been in a state of agony. The chain of supermarkets, which once "threw the gauntlet" for Samvel Aleksanyan, not only failed to become a competitor of "Yerevan City" or other supermarkets, but for a long time was unable to fill its stores by at least 10 percent. Of course, this is a private business, and since the income from private business flows into the pocket of a private person, in this case, a man named Gevorg Afandyan, therefore, that he should bear the responsibility of what happened. But on the other hand, it is also a company that operates in the country, pays taxes, provides jobs, and even the Ministry of Economy should not have been so interested in bankruptcy and the non-existence of this chain. But what happens in cases like this, either the Ministry is not interested in such matters, or is watching from afar as the "patient" signes his own death warrant, at best, can diagnose and present to the public that the problem was "poor management."

In connection with "Star", however, miracles are expected. The Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan, in response to our question, whether they are not concerned about what is happening there, whether they are not trying to help, replied:

"We have already commissioned to investigate the situation and invited them to the Ministry of Economy."

"Is it possible that this is done intentionally, may be "Carrefour" has bought this chain?"

"No, no, this is not such a thing. We work with "Carrefour", everything is fine, probably before the end of the year there will be news.

As for "Star", it's another story. As far as I know, in the course of the crisis, they have taken a lot of credit, which are slightly aggravate the situation with regard to their financial influx.

"But Afandyans were one of the wealthiest families in Armenia, do they see such a decline?"

Well, during the crisis they took a little more credit to stay afloat, and now brought to an issue. That is, the problem is strictly related to the business.

Whether the Ministry of Economy will have time to help this economic entity, we will see. And the fact that the symptoms of finding "Star" in poor condition, were more than obvious, and that erlier they could try to understand, is definitely.

If even ordinary citizens can fix the problems of the supermarket chain, the professionals, responsible for the economy of the state, could more quickly and accurately assess the situation created in terms of professionalism. Here everything is a little different ...
