Mourinho: "I like López more than Casillas"
Sport
José Mourinho spoke to journalists earlier on Tuesday morning about several issues at Real Madrid - including his relationship with Iker Casillas.
The Portuguese manager replied to comments made by Andrés Iniesta. The Barcelona midfielder had previously criticised the situation Casillas was in. "He can think what he wants. All I can say is that his team is not the same without (Leo) Messi, as we saw in the Champions League semi-finals ", Mourinho said.
The Real boss then tried to settle the controversy of the goalkeeper situation: "A coach has responsibilities and one of those is choosing who plays. I don't toss a coin to decide who plays. I think about it carefully, I discuss it, I analyse things, I study my decisions for a long time, and I observe the games and I try to make the right decision. I like Diego López as a goalkeeper more than Iker Casillas. It's not a personal decision. I like my keepers to be able to play with their feet, to be reliable coming out for crosses and to be great shot-stoppers".
