US may declassify ABM data for Russia
USA
The United States Missile Defense Agency is considering the possibility of declassifying data on their missile systems in order to allay the fears of the Russian Federation. This was stated by the director of the Missile Defense Agency Vice Admiral James Syring.
Speaking at a hearing on Wednesday, he said that he had discussed this possibility with the leadership US Department of Defense.
Syring said that among the data that may be disclosed is the speed of US interceptor missiles.
Such a move could allay some of the fears that Russia has that the U.S. missile defense system is aimed at deterring Russia's nuclear potential.
