More than 1.5 million people took part in Victory Day celebrations in Moscow on May 9, a city police spokesman told Interfax.
"Over 1.5 million people attended public and cultural events dedicated to Victory Day in the capital," he said.
No serious public order offences were reported in Moscow, he said. Several people were taken to police stations for minor offences, he added.
"They were released from police custody after administrative protocols were compiled," the spokesman said. Some 8,000 policemen, Internal Troops soldiers and volunteers maintained public order during the May 9 celebrations in central Moscow.
