Zidane, agent of change

Zidane is shaping up nicely for Florentino Pérez's new project. The Frenchman will finish his course for general managers of professional sports clubs next week, after two years of study in Limoges and also Paris.

In doing so, Zizou will have achieved one of the goals he set himself in order to prepare for a role in sports management, during which time he has studied specialised subjects such as economics, marketing and communications.

Aside from his experience as a top sportsman, the former Real Madrid player wanted to obtain this diploma to certify his understanding of specific business areas such as dealing with agents and negotiating contracts.

When the football season is over Zidane will consider his future. Ideally his true vocation lies in coaching, but the fact that elections are soon to be held at Real Madrid means that he once again features in the plans of Florentino Pérez.
