Wet snow leaves Siberia areas in the dark

Wet snow has left 25 towns in the Altai Region in Southern Siberia without electricity, a local branch of the Russian Emergencies Ministry reports.
An unusually heavy snowfall that hit the Altai Region on Saturday disabled or damaged power lines in 4 districts.
An unexpected cold spell with sleet has brought about several centimeters of snow. May’s green grass is covered in snow in a number of areas.
The temperature has dropped from +27 degrees °C a couple of days ago to the current +1°C.
