Armenian chess player Roudolph Grigorian got the title of U18 Champion of France. He scored 7,5 points out of 9 and solely took the first prize in the championship that was held in Saint-Paul-Trois Châteaux, armchess reports.

Another Armenian chess player Gary Giroyan was only half a point behind the winner and shared 2nd-4th places among 83 participants. By the tie-break Giroyan was the 4th.

WGM Tatev Abrahamian has scored 5,5 points after 7 rounds in the USA Women’s Championship that is being held in Saint Louis. The leader with 6,5 points is IM Irina Krush. In the penultimate 8th round Abrahamian plays with whites against Krush.
At the men’s tournemanet GM Varuzhan Akobian and FM Samuel Sevian each have 3, GM Melikset Khachiyan - 2 points out of 7. The leader with 5,5 points is GM Gata Kamsky.

Armenian GM Krikor-Sevag Mekhitarian (Brazil) has scored 4 points after five rounds in the American Continental Championship that is being held in Cochabamba, Bolivia. The leader with 5 points is GM Julio Granda Zuniga (Peru).
