Messi unable to finish match due to injury

Lionel Messi, still experiencing problems with the hamstring in his left leg, was unable to finish the match against Atlético de Madrid. The Barça star was forced to leave the field halfway through the second half and could not be substituted as his team had already made three changes.

Messi picked up an injury in the first leg of the Champions League quarter finals against PSG and his appearances for the team have since been irregular. The player was accompanied off the pitch by Dr. Pruna and ushered straight to the dressing room. Dani Alves was also substituted as a precautionary measure, suffering with a lower back muscular strain.
