Armenian deputy FM receives NATO delegation.

On Jan. 24, Armenian Deputy FM Ashot Hovhakimyan received a NATO delegation led by Major General Carlos Branco, Director, Cooperation and Regional Security Division of the International Military Staff.
The sides discussed issues of Armenia-NATO cooperation. The sides made a positive appraisal of bilateral cooperation under the Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) and stressed the new stage of IPAP approved last November.
The sides also discussed bilateral cooperation in new areas and ways of enhancing efficiency of cooperation.
Speaking of the NATO partner-countries’ involvement in NATO operations, Major General Carlos Branco expressed gratitude to Armenia for Armenian troops’ high-level professional involvement in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) – Afghanistan.
