The society must know what is going on in Armenian Army - Hrayr Karapetyan.

“We have won Artsakh war due to our Army. Armenian Army is the most consisted institute in our country as it manages to fulfill its responsibility and protect Armenian nation. The Army does not stand in the same place but always is developing”. Hrayr Karapetyan, head of the Armenian NA permanent commission on defense, national security and inner affairs told the journalists during the press conference at “Novosti” international press-club.
The speaker also underlined that we must do our best to assist Army development. According to him some normative books are created for the Army. “The main codex for the Army is already ready, changes in the law “About the military service” have been done”, H. Karapetyan said.
Speaking about the problems which Army faces today the speaker said that there are many such problems but at the same time all the responsible bodies are involved in solving them.
“We give legal guarantee how the defense in Army must be provided. At the same time there are many unsettled social problems in the Army. Armenian Minister of Defense is well-informed about all these problems and they are worked to be settled”, H. Karapetyan underlined. Referring to the incidents in the Army and the publications about them the speaker announced that the openness of information has a great role in preventing crimes.
“I am for the openness, the society must know what is going on. No phenomenon must be kept in secret. Everything must be done to provide just and clear investigation for every case. I have three sons and one of them is a lieutenant of Armenian Army”, he noted.
H. Karapetyan also announced about his disagreement with the idea that patriotic moods are reduced among the society.
“If there were no danger of war in Armenia we would have a professional Army”, the speaker concluded.
