Armenian Security Council Sec receives Russian delegation.

Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council Artur Baghdasaryan held a meeting on Jan. 26 with a delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Valentin Sobolev.
The sides discussed issues incorporated in the 2012-2013 cooperation program between the Armenian and Russian National Security Councils.
Mr Baghdasaryan noted that the measures envisaged by the cooperation program are effectively implemented according to schedule. In this context, he stressed the importance of the visit Secretary of the RF Security Council Nikolay Patrushev is to pay to Armenia.
The sides discussed the implementation of border security measures, including re-equipment of checkpoints, establishment of a joint frontier-guard retraining center.
The sides also discussed emergency programs, military industrial cooperation, as well as the initiative to establish information centers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
Mr Sobolev pointed out high-level cooperation between the Armenian and Russian Security Councils. He expressed the confidence that the measures envisaged by the cooperation program will be implemented on schedule.
