Armenian businessman to save Tumanyan’s house in Tbilisi.

The fate of the home of poet Hovhannes Tumanyan in Tbilisi was discussed during today's consultation held with RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. Among the participants were RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan, President of the Writers' Union of Armenia Levon Ananyan and the great-grandchild of the poet, Irma Safrazbekyan.
During the consultation, Irma Safrazbekyan informed that there is already a home buyer who intends to dedicate the home to the Armenian community of Tbilisi under the condition of turning it into a cultural center in the future.
The RA Prime Minister assigned the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs to discuss with the Georgian side the legal issues on handing the home to the community after the sale, reports the Department of Public Relations at the RA Ministry of Culture.
