Armenian and Russian experts to carry joint inspection of Yerevan-Gyumri railway.

South Caucasus Railway CJSC and experts from the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations on January 27 will check railway infrastructures at the Yerevan-Gyumri sector along with representatives of the South Caucasus Railway CJSC administration led by acting General Director Marat Khakov.

The joint inspection was scheduled on 6 December 2011 within the framework of a Memorandum of Cooperation signed by General Director of South Caucasus Railway CJSC Shevket Shaydullin and RA Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan.

According to the Memorandum, the sides will cooperate for the prevention, prediction and early signaling of accidents and natural disasters caused by technical equipment, the minimization and elimination of the possible effects, public awareness and rapid response, restorative efforts and searches, as well as cadre preparation and training and the creation of instructional bases, reports the company's press service.
