The 8th plenary negotiation meeting of Armenia-EU Associative Agreement took place in Brussels on January 25-26.
The Armenian delegation was led by Armenian deputy FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. From the European side the negotiations were led by the head of the European Commission’s Unit for Relations with Russia, Eastern Europe, Southern Caucasus, and Central Asia, in the Commission’s Directorate-General for External Relations Gunnar Wiegand.
The question concerning the process of simplified issuing of European visas to Armenian citizens which is to start in February was mentioned during the meeting.
The next plenary negotiation meeting Armenia-EU Associative Agreement is planned to be held in Yerevan in the end of March.
