Armenian officials awarded for contribution to army-building.

Chairman of Armenia's National Assembly Samvel Nikoyan awarded parents of three servicemen with diplomas of gratitude and money awards on the occasion of 20th anniversary of formation of the Armenian army. NA chairman also awarded first deputy defense minister Davit Tonoyan with Order of Honor.

"Our army is young but it has rich experience. For ages Armenian soldiers fought in the armies of foreigners, twenty years ago the reality changed and the Armenian soldier defended his family, homeland," Nikoyan said. NA chairman and Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan handed orders of honor to a number of MPs.

"We have passed the trial of the very first battle with dignity and in very short period of time we formed the most battle-worthy army in the region," Ohanyan said.

Defense minister also handed anniversary order to NA chairman Samvel Nikoyan.
