PACE President to Visit Armenia
Diplomatic missions
The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will visit Armenia on May 12 where he will meet with Armenia’s top leadership for talks on a host of issues related to Armenia’s partnership with Europe.
PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu will meet with President Serzh Sarkisian, National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian and representatives from the parliamentary factions. He is also set to visit with leaders from former President Levon-Ter Petrosian’s Armenian National Congress.
Cavusoglu will also meet with Davit Harutyunyan, who heads an ad-hoc committee charged with monitoring whether Armenia’s authorities are implementing recommendations from a commission investigating the March 2008.
Talks are also scheduled with Armenia’s human rights defender, foreign diplomats, and various NGOs.
